Special Edition of GI’s BAME Youth Group for Black History Month

For Black History Month, Gendered Intelligence welcomes trans and gender variant people of colour of all ages to come along to a special edition of our BAME Youth Group.

We’ll be celebrating the lives and legacy of trans people of colour through history who have been at the forefront of trans and queer liberation. We’ll also be discussing the work of those who inspire us today and how we can create platforms to share our stories.

We have some amazing speakers lined up, including Travis Alabanza, a spoken word artist and writer, a “Black queer femme boi: living, studying, surviving and creating in London” and Daniel Fernando Diaz, an activist and campaigner on NUS Black Students’ Campaign committee. Third speaker to be confirmed.

Invite your friends and join us for an evening of powerful discussion and performance. Non-alcoholic refreshments and snacks will be served.

Please note, this is an event for trans and gender variant people of colour ONLY in order to create a safe space for sharing.

Date: Thursday 22nd October 6pm to 9pm
Venue: Royal Central School of Speech and Drama – 62-64 Eton Avenue London NW3 3HY GB
